Things to Do
According to the DNR, Ten Mile Lake has an abundance of northern pike. Walleye numbers are similar to other lakes in the area. Anglers also fish for black crappie, bluegill, bowfin, brown bullhead, lake whitefish, pumpkinseed sunfish, rock bass, white sucker, yellow bullhead, and yellow perch. Because of the water clarity, many anglers fish at night. According to Cass County, Ten Mile Lake has one public boat landing, which has space for parking.
In a typical winter, our area lakes freeze, which provides great opportunities to continue the fishing season. Did you know, people drive full-size trucks onto the frozen lakes and have ice houses that are as comfortable as most luxury RVs with heat, beds, satellite TV, and, of course, ice holes?
